Hi Kim,

Thanks for sharing.

I have found as a sensitive person/empath that I have to set clear boundaries to make sure I don't get caught up in the opinions and agendas of other people. I find it helps to have space alone or spend time with my cat to stay centered :)

Peace,
Mystic Life

People in a majority are just as likely, if not more so, to insist that no one can be right or happy making a choice of something that puts them in a minority.
Almost every day of my life someone I know or meet insists that some choice I've made (in food, clothes, transportation, marital status, childbearing status, etc..) is either wrong, unnatural, or that I am a closeted eater of those things they "love" to eat, that I secretly am jealous of their marriage, and so on. They are much like addicts and alcoholics who insist that life isn't fun or fulfilling if you're not doing their drug or drink.

We're a world of folks who desperately seek validation of ourselves and our choices, so it makes many folks crazy to see someone else being happy without making those same choices.

I just as often meet people who loudly defend the rights of any particular person or group, but in the next sentence are angry with, and threatened by, someone for making an unrelated choice that hurts no one.

I am learning that all I can do is love them, and continue the choices I know are right for me, regardless of how unpopular it makes me.
